In The Pantheon: An Allegory for Identity and The Soul, I have painted a polyptych of personified personality traits that collectively reflects my identity. Guided by seven Greek myths from antiquity, my hero’s journey unveils a different layer of my psyche at each interval. Upon research, study, and meditation, I have recontextualized the themes and morals from each mythological story or character and reimagined them as allegories that express my individuality, growth, and collective consciousness.
The Pantheon is an allegory of my identity visualized as the twelve Greek g-ds from Mount Olympus. Every deity represents a different aspect of my personality and individuality. Organized into seven subjects, each figurative allegory is expanded upon, highlighting a collection of attributes or abilities that I possess or express. The final visage of The Pantheon is a polyptych of grand proportions that collectively signifies my growth as an artist, man, and human being of esoteric virtue.
